CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one armed robbery, one attempt grand theft (auto), one grand theft (other vehicle), two grand thefts, one attempt arson and five acts of vandalism.

June 20
Attempt Arson (daytime) - Person(s) unknown attempted to set fire to the porch of a home in the 29300 block of Northbay Road.
June 22
Armed Robbery (nighttime) - Two male suspects, armed with handguns, stole a pager from a female victim as she entered an apartment building in the 32600 block of Nantasket Drive.
Grand Theft (daytime) - A male suspect used a "new roof" scam to steal U.S.
currency from a victim in the 2100 block of Noble View Drive.
June 23
Attempt Grand Theft (auto) (overnight) - Person(s) unknown pried a door open and damaged the steering column of a pickup in an attempt to steal it from the 2100 block of Crestwood Drive.
June 25
Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole jewelry from a home on Packet Road. There was no sign of forced entry.
June 26
Grand Theft (other vehicle) (overnight) - Person(s) unknown cut a chain and stole a golf cart from a parking lot of a building in the 6600 block of Beachview Drive.
