CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included three residential burglaries, one vehicle burglary, one felonious assault, one grand theft and three petty thefts.

February 29

Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a handgun from a home in the 3500 block of Vigilance Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

March 1

Residential Burglary - A victim reported that between December, 1999 and February 15th, 2000, person(s) unknown stole numerous items from the attached garage of his home in the 21700 block of Shorewood Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male suspect punched, kicked and sprayed a caustic chemical on the face of a female victim during an argument at in apartment at Highridge Drive and Hawthorne Boulevard.

March 3

Vehicle Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole numerous items from a car in a garage in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive.

Residential Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown removed a screen and entered an unlocked window of a home in the 6700 block of Alta Vista Drive and stole U.S. currency.

Residential Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole numerous items from a home on Via Capri.
