Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included attempt strong- armed robbery, one commercial burglary, two residential burglaries, two other structure burglaries, one attempt grand theft (auto), three petty thefts and two acts of vandalism.

February 20

Attempt Grand Theft (auto) (overnight) - Person(s) unknown damaged an ignition in an attempt to steal a car in the 29700 block of Hazelridge Drive.

February 21

Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke the window of a car in an underground garage in the 5900 block of Armaga Springs Road and stole numerous items.

Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown cut the convertible rooftop of a car in an underground garage in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive and stole numerous items.

February 22

Attempt Strong-armed robbery (daytime) - A male suspect was arrested after trying to take U.S. Currency from an armored truck guard at a business in the 28600 block of Western Avenue.

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown removed a screen and entered an unlocked window of a home in the 7000 block of Starstone Drive and stole jewelry.

February 23

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown forced a garage door open and stole electronic equipment from a home in the 6700 block of Kings Harbor Drive.

Commercial Burglary - A victim reported that between the February 21st - 23rd , person(s) unknown forced an outer door open, entered, and then attempted to enter the inner section of a business in the 28700 block of Highridge Drive.
