Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included six residential burglaries, one school burglary, one felonious assault, one grand theft, two petty thefts and two acts of vandalism.

School Burglary (weekend) - Person(s) unknown entered a school through a rooftop door and stole numerous items from a school in the 29300 block of Palos Verdes Drive East.
January 25
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole numerous items from a home on Sailview Avenue. Entry was apparently made by removing a screen and climbing through an unlocked window.
January 26
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole three bicycles from an unlocked garage of a home in the 1900 block of Avenida Estudiante.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole liquor from an apartment in the 28100 block of Peacock Ridge Drive. Entry was apparently made by removing a screen and climbing through a window.
January 27
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown pried a door open and entered a home in the 6400 block of Via Colinita. It was unknown at the time of this report if anything was taken.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown pried a sliding glass door open and stole U.S. currency from a home in the 27500 block of Longhill Drive
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole jewelry from a home in the 27800 block of Longhill Drive. Entry was apparently made by removing a screen and climbing through an unlocked window.
January 29
Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown cut a fence and stole a saw from a work site in the 4100 block of Palos Verdes Drive South.
Felonious Assault (daytime) - A male suspect was arrested after he punched a female victim and attempted to stroke her with a piece of wood in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive.
