CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included

one commercial burglary, one residential burglary, one attempt residential burglary, two vehicle burglaries, two other structure burglaries, one felonious assault, two petty thefts, one mail theft and two acts of

vandalism.

ARRESTS

Vehicle Laws - 1

August 19

Commercial Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole U.S. currency from

a business in the 31200 block of Palos Verdes Drive West. There was no sign of forced entry.

August 20

Attempt Residential Burglary - A victim reported that between August 10th -

15th, person(s0 unknown damaged a door lock in an attempt to enter his home in the 28200 block of Lobrook Drive.

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown climbed in an open

window of a home in the 2100 block of Mendon Drive. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

Felonious Assault (evening) - A male suspect threatened to strike a male

victim with a golf club in the 7000 block of Los Verdes Drive.

August 23

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole U.S.

currency from a car in a parking lot in the 5500 block of Crestridge Road.

August 24

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole a

woman's purse from a car in a parking lot in the 29300 block of Hawthorne Boulevard.

Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole numerous

items from an unlocked detached garage of a home in the 3900 block of Admirable Drive.

Other Structure Burglary - A victim reported that between August 10th -

24th, person(s) unknown cut the hasp on a tool shed and stole numerous items at a home in the 28900 block of Newstar Drive. The ignitions of two vehicles were also damaged in an attempt to steal them from the location
