Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included

one commercial burglary, four grand thefts, four petty thefts, one mail theft and four acts of vandalism.

Grand Theft (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown stole a cellular phone and a

briefcase from an unlocked car in a driveway in the 6800 block of Verde Ridge Drive.

August 14

Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a briefcase from an unlocked

car in a parking lot in the 29300 block of Hawthorne Boulevard.

August 16

Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a handgun from a home in the

5400 block of Bayridge Road. There was no sign of forced entry.

August 17

Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole U.S. currency from a home in

the 31000 block of Hawksmoor Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

August 18

Commercial Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole U.S. currency from

a business in the 31200 block of Hawthorne Boulevard. There was no sign of forced entry.
