CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included

one commercial burglary, four residential burglaries, one other structure burglary, eight grand thefts, four petty thefts, one mail theft and three acts of vandalism.

July 23

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a woman's purse

from a home in the 28000 block of Ridgebluff Court. There was no sign of forced entry.

Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a woman's

purse from a car in the detached garage of a home in the 4400 block of Miraleste Drive.

Grand Theft - A victim reported that between July 6th - 22nd, person(s)

unknown stole jewelry from her home in the 3500 block of Via Campesina. There was no sign of forced entry.

Grand Theft (daytime) - A cable TV amplifier was stolen from a pole on Vista

Portal Grande.

Grand Theft (daytime) - A cable TV amplifier was stolen from a pole in the

28200 block of Seamount Drive.

Grand Theft (daytime) - A cable TV amplifier was stolen from a pole in the

29200 block of Doveridge Drive.

Grand Theft (daytime) - A cable TV amplifier was stolen from a pole on

Nuvola Court.

Grand Theft (nighttime) - A cellular phone amplifier was stolen from a pole

in the 324 block of Schooner Drive.

Grand Theft (nighttime) - Two male suspects stole movie tickets from a

theater in the 28900 block of Western Avenue.

July 24

Commercial Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown broke a glass door and

stole an ATM machine from a business in the 27700 block of Hawthorne Boulevard.

July 25

Residential Burglary (daytime) - A male suspect used a ladder to enter an

upstairs window of a house in the 4900 Blackhorse Road. The suspect fled when the resident returned home.

July 26

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a laptop computer from an

unlocked car in the 29100 block of Firthidge Road.

July 27

Residential Burglary - A victim reported that between July 13th - 17th,

person(s) unknown stole a bicycle from an open garage of a home in the 28700 block of Mount Sawtooth Drive.

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown removed louvered window

slats and stole numerous items from an apartment in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive.
