CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included

two armed robberies, one commercial burglary, two residential burglaries, one vehicle burglary, one felonious assault, one grand theft (auto), two grand thefts, three petty thefts and three acts of vandalism.

July 15

Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole numerous items from a home

in the 28400 block of Lomo Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole a

woman's handbag from a car in a driveway in the 28500 block of Leacrest Drive.

July 16

Armed Robbery (nighttime) - A male suspect, armed with a handgun, forced his

way into a home on Marguerite Drive, tied up a male victim and stole U.S. currency.

July 17

Grand Theft (weekend) - Person(s) unknown stole two saws from an unlocked

truck in a parking lot in the 29700 block of Western Avenue.

Grand Theft (auto) (overnight) - A 1993 Volvo 850 GLT was stolen from the

30500 block of Rue Langlois.

Armed Robbery (daytime) - Two male suspects, one armed with a handgun, took

a bicycle from a male victim in the 28600 block of Western Avenue.

July 18

Residential Burglary (weekend) - Person(s) unknown damaged a door lock and

stole numerous pieces of furniture from a garage of a home in the 6700 block of Via Canada.

July 19

Commercial Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown removed a padlock and

stole numerous items from a locker in a business in the 28900 block of Western Avenue.

July 20

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown entered and ransacked a

home in the 1800 block of Redondela Drive. There was no sign of forced entry and it was unknown at the time of this report if anything was taken.

July 21

Felonious Assault (daytime) - A male suspect was arrested after threatening

a female victim with a knife during an argument at a home in the 5400 block of Bayridge Road.
