CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one commercial burglary, three residential burglaries, one vehicle burglary, one petty theft and one act of vandalism.

Residential Burglary - A victim reported that between April 25th - May 29th, person(s) unknown stole jewelry from her apartment in the 5300 block of Ravenspur Road. There was no sign of forced entry.

May31

Residential Burglary (daytime) - A male suspect pried a sliding glass door open and stole jewelry from a home in the 26500 block of Basswood Avenue. The suspect was scared away when the resident returned home.

June 2

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a scooter from a garage of a home on Narcissa Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

Commercial Burglary (daytime) - A male suspect stole numerous items from a supermarket in the 28500 block of Western Avenue and fled in a dark colored car. The suspect was stopped and arrested a short distance from the store.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a car stereo from a car in the 1900 block of Toscanini Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.
