CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included three commercial burglaries, one residential burglary, one vehicle burglary, three felonious assaults, one grand theft (auto), one petty theft, one mail theft and one act of vandalism.

April 29

Vehicle Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown stole a woman's purse from a locked vehicle in a garage in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

April 30

Grand Theft (auto) (daytime) - A 1987 Buick Park Avenue was stolen from 28600 block of Vista Madera.

Commercial Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole numerous items from the rear of an open business in the 28600 block of Western Avenue.

May 3

Commercial Burglary (nighttime) - Three male suspects stole wine from a supermarket in the 28500 block of Western Avenue. The suspects then fled in a maroon/tan vehicle.

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown pried a door open and entered a home in the 30200 block of Matisse Drive. It was unknown at the time of this report whether anything was taken.

May 4

Commercial Burglary (nighttime) - A male suspect was arrested after attempting to steal liquor from a supermarket in the 28500 block of Western Avenue.

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - One of three male suspects struck a male victim on the head with a bottle outside a party in the 2000 block of Mendon Drive. The suspects then fled in a brown truck.

May 5

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male suspect attempted to hit a male victim with a bat outside a home in the 1900 block of Velez Drive.

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male suspect was arrested after cutting a male victim's arm in a parking lot in the 28900 block of Western Avenue.
