Hermosa Beach is an excellent place to go fishing during the day.
Hermosa Beach is also not as crowded of fishermen during the day resulting
in less line tangling. However, numerous numbers of sightseers arrive
at certain times, especially to the wonderful restaurants and plaza located
off of the pier. Hermosa Beach's pier is my favorite pier in Los Angeles County. It is long, and built in a strategic location for where a copious amount of fish is found. A wide variety of fish is often caught on this pier. Halibut and bonito are also easily caught. Occasionally, other fishermen haul in octopus, sting rays, and all kinds of sharks, including thersher sharks and sand sharks. Like Newport Beach, Hermosa Beach is a good place to bring home an ice chest full of mackerel and tomcat. Go after spafin coaker and kingfish while deep-sea fishing. |
