| Manhattan Beach is the place to go fishing after nine o'clock. Many fishermen I know leave Hermosa Beach when the pier closes and head north to Manhattan Beach. I personally like Manhattan Beach. The rounded design of the pier is excellent. Usually, whatever is caught at Hermosa Beach can be caught at Manhattan. However, I like Hermosa a little better since the pier is longer. Thus, there is a better chance to catch deep-sea dwellers at Hermosa. I have frequently caught halibut, mackerel, and yellowtail at Manhattan, just to name a few. Most of my tomcat is caught here, too. I like how Manhattan's pier is open 24-hours and parking is usually easier to find. |
