Seal Beach has one of the best piers in Orange County.  Except for Newport Beach, Seal Beach has the best pier in Orange County.  Many of my best catches occur at this pier.  I have regularly hauled in California halibut, spotfin croaker, yellowtail, and jacksmelt. I have also caught a few kingfish at Seal Beach. Seal Beach's pier also has a nice atmosphere, and the pier is not that crowded. The pier is also fairly wide compared to other piers around the area. I like going after the deep dwellers at Seal Beach since the pier is very suitable for deep-sea fishing. But, of course, you can still catch a lot of sardines and mackerel.
