City of Rancho Palos Verdes

Code Enforcement Division

The Code Enforcement Division provides regulatory investigative and compliance services as part of the Planning, Building and Code Enforcement Department. The Code Enforcement Division's two officers investigate all complaints registered by residents with the City's various departments for compliance with the City's Municipal Code, Model Codes (such as the Uniform Building Code and National Electric Code), as well as any and all applicable State laws. Complaints received that are under the jurisdiction of other agencies (such as Sheriff, Fire, etc.) are referred by the Code Enforcement Division to the appropriate agency.

Below is a brief listing of those general functions handled by each respective agency. Should you have any questions about what does or does not constitute a violation, and which agency addresses that issue, please e-mail the Code Enforcement Division below or call the Code Enforcement Division at (310) 377-6008, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Monday through Friday.
