About The Palos Verdes Junior Women's Club...

ESTABLISHED in 1958 as a non-profit public benefit corporation. Designated a 501(c)(3) charitable organization by the Internal Revenue Service.

MEMBERSHIP is by invitation to women over 21 who reside on the Palos Verdes Peninsula. Our organization is 100% volunteer; we have no paid staff.

GOAL is to promote the social welfare of the community by financial and other assistance.

FOCUS is placed on groups which have critical, yet often-overlooked needs. Our contributions provide assistance to philanthropies that are categorized as follows:

CRISIS - Organizations providing immediate life-threatening or critical needs.

INTERVENTION - Organizations providing long-term needs of a critical nature.

PREVENTION - Organizations preventing crisis situations from happening.

SUPPORT - Organizations providing assistance through positive encouragement.

SERVICE - Organizations providing assistance to the general public

FUND RAISING activities include a Holiday Luncheon and Boutique in the late fall, a Spring Fund Raising Event, a Corporate Sponsorship Program and a Direct Mail Campaign to area businesses and residents.
