The documentary Miss Representation, by Jennifer Siebel
Newsom, premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, and aired on
OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.
The film explores how the media’s misrepresentations of women
have led to the underrepresentation of women in positions of power
and influence.

Readers Theater Presents: "Athletes in Skirts"
This new original play by AAUW/PVP member Jacky
Mason features four famous, or not so famous, female athletes who
made a real difference for women in sports. Featured athletes are
Annie Oakley, Gertrude Ederle, Baby Didrickson, and Billie Jean
King.
The performance is a major fundraiser for AAUW
projects and a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the passage
of Title IX, the legislation guaranteeing equal opportunity to
girls and women in sports.
