Christmas Tree Recycling

Christmas trees will be recycled if they are left beside the yard waste containers.  Trees must be free of ornaments, flocking, and attached stands.  All trees must be cut into sections five feet or less to fit into the trucks. If there are any exceptions to this policy, the tree will be disposed with the trash.

BFI provides an annual free collection service for bulky items. Collection is in May.  For the exact date please call 1-888-PICK-BFI.

Bulky items collected include: furniture, appliances, hot water heaters, toys, lawn equipment, boxed miscellaneous, etc. Materials such as construction debris, hazardous waste (paint cans, pesticides, pool supplies) are not accepted.

On the specified day, bulky items must be placed on the curb or the edge of the street to be collected.
 

BFI provides a paid bulky item collection service for all other regular collection days other than the free collection day.  Customers can call 1-888-PICK-BFI to schedule Service:
 

• The cost is $45 for the first item and $20 per item thereafter
• Collection is on your regular collection day
• Customers must call 24 hours in advance to schedule the service
• Items to be collected must be placed at the curb.
