GENERAL INFORMATION
PVNET is a non profit technology center.
The GIS internship program provided hands on training and experience
to persons interested in learning about computer technology.
The GIS internship program provides opportunities
for interested persons to receive training while working on community
service projects.
Interns are not paid but occasionally
stipends become available to to help interns who are also students
with their educational expenses.
When interns complete a project, the
experience may be documented and included in their resume, along
with a certificate for completion at various levels of training.
In addition, a letter of reference is
provide to those interns who distinguish themselves within our
programs.

and other planets can no longer be managed without the aid of
computer based GIS.

you are an athlete, animal lover, teacher or student, you can use
GIS technology to track and map your favorite activities.
GIS technologies are used
in about every industry you could possibly imagine. GIS professionals
are found in: Business, communications, defense and intelligence,
education, engineering, government, health and human services,
transportation, utilities and much more.
We will consider applicants age 15 - adult
for our GIS program.
