This is another example of how human error is kept out of the quest for microbes that convert waste to a fuel or directly to power. No manual valves are present to provide an accidental error. Computer control of each section of the plant is almost invisible, but is there and the programs are home grown by the technicians at APC. |
This vessel is at Applied Power Concepts in Anaheim California. The fully automated system has no manual valves to change the flow characteristics of the system so that replication of an experiment is fully at the hands of the computer controlling the vessel. It reduces human error to zero and allows minor changes if needed. |
